WanderWell

Supporting safer, active living for vulnerable individuals

WanderWell was launched in 2025 to centralise services for individuals at risk of going missing, such as some people with dementia, neurodivergence, brain injury or disabilities.

Previously, these services were provided by multiple organisations. Now, WanderWell offers a trusted, single point of access for WanderSearch devices, safety information, and community support, empowering individuals and caregivers. Our programme exists through the dedication of volunteers and generous donations that help make these services accessible to everyone in need.

Currently, WanderWell provides safety information and support to people who are risk of going missing through the provision of information relating to the Safer Walking Initiative, the Safer Walking Profile and delivers the WanderSearch programme.

Safer Walking Profile

We strongly recommend that a form is completed for anyone with a risk of going missing when walking. The form records vital information which will be used by Police and specialist search teams in the event the person goes missing.
