Supporting charities can be difficult for many people. Donating often means choosing between something you need, and wanting to make a difference. By leaving a legacy in your will, you can support a cause close to your heart without impacting your life today.
Land Search and Rescue has partnered with two will writing providers to offer the following services.

Safewill offer wills drafted by practicing solicitors that are legally reviewed by their affiliate law firm, Safewill Legal. Complete your Will in as little as 20 minutes with assurance and enjoy the flexibility of making free changes for a whole year after its initial completion. Throughout promotional periods in March and September these services will be for free, at other points, they are discounted by 50%.
Gathered Here provide a free will writing service – all year round. Wills can also be updated for free at any time and are legally valid and binding provided that you meet the usual requirements for creating a Will (namely, you have testamentary capacity and are of sound mind, are over the age of 18, make the Will voluntarily, and follow the required signing and witnessing formalities). For complex Wills, they offer the convenience of completing them at a one-time legal cost.

Payroll Giving
You can to donate to Land Search and Rescue directly from your pay if your employer supports this scheme and files their deductions electronically with the Inland Revenue (IRD). With payroll giving you get an immediate tax rebate for one third of your donation. For example, if you donate $15 to Land Search and Rescue through payroll giving, your take home pay will reduce by only $10. You can find out more about it on the IRD website.
