Valued Employers
Our volunteers come from all walks of life. They are extraordinary people who have a unique combination of skills and the desire to assist their community and the lost, missing and injured.
They can be called upon at any time of the day or night to respond to Search and Rescue operations. This may be during work hours.
We realise the sacrifices that employers of Land Search and Rescue volunteers make. At times they are short staffed, other employees may have to share the burden, it impacts productivity and lack of notice can make getting the job done more difficult.
Land Search and Rescue’s Valued Employer Programme recognises the vital role employers play in being part of the team responding to the lost, missing and injured. Without employers support we would find it more difficult to respond effectively.
