New Zealand Police
New Zealand Police is the agency responsible for land searches in New Zealand, and with the Rescue Coordination Centre one of only two agencies responsible for initiating searches in New Zealand. New Zealand Police is an Associate Member of New Zealand Land Search & Rescue Inc.

Rescue Co-ordination Centre
Rescue Coordination Centre New Zealand (RCCNZ) is New Zealand’s national search and rescue organisation responsible for coordinating all major maritime and aviation search and rescue missions within New Zealand’s search and rescue region and land-based missions arising from someone activating a distress beacon. The Rescue Coordination Centre New Zealand is an Associate Member of New Zealand Land Search & Rescue Inc.

NZSAR
The New Zealand Search and Rescue (NZSAR) Council has a mandate from the NZ Government to provide strategic leadership to the New Zealand Search and Rescue Sector and works to improve the overall co-ordination, cohesion, capability and leadership of search and rescue by working alongside the key organisations and individuals providing search and rescue services throughout New Zealand. The New Zealand Search and Rescue Council is an Associate Member of New Zealand Land Search & Rescue Inc.

Amateur Radio Emergency Communications
AREC is the public service arm of Amateur Radio. Many hams get involved in providing communications for sporting events, Search and Rescue and Civil Defence at different levels. The parent body of AREC is the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (Inc) (NZART). AREC is an Associate member of New Zealand Land Search & Rescue Inc.

New Zealand Speleological Society
The New Zealand Speleological Society is the national organisation of people interested in caves and caving. Members of the society provide an underground search & rescue capability to LandSAR. The New Zealand Speleological Society is an Associate Member of New Zealand Land Search & Rescue Inc.

Department of Conservation
The Department of Conservation is the central government organisation charged with conserving the natural and historic heritage of New Zealand on behalf of and for the benefit of present and future New Zealanders. The Department of Conservation is an Associate Member of New Zealand Land Search & Rescue Inc.

Federated Mountain Clubs of New Zealand
FMC is the national association of over 100 mountain clubs, representing a total of some 12,000 individual members. FMC’s objectives are to promote its club’s activities, to promote training and safe use of the backcountry, and to promote its preservation and sound management. The Federated Mountain Clubs of New Zealand is an Associate Member of New Zealand Land Search & Rescue Inc.

Mountain Safety Council
New Zealand Mountain Safety Council (MSC) promotes safety in outdoor activity in New Zealand’s mountains, bush, forests and waterways. New Zealand Mountain Safety Council is an Associate Member of New Zealand Land Search & Rescue Inc.
