Awards

The Awards Sub Comittee of the LandSAR Board was established to revise the awards system when needed and to approve award nominations. The Committee has and has introduced two new service awards into the Awards Matrix .

There are now five levels of service award

• The LandSAR Service Certificate
• The LandSAR Merit Award (new in 2012)
• The LandSAR Plaque
• The LandSAR Excellence Award (new in 2012)
• LandSAR Life Membership

There is one award for Operational Excellence

• The LandSAR Supreme Award

Life Membership
The LandSAR Constitution makes provision for 10 Life Members at any one time.  Currently there are four.  If approved, Life Membership is usually awarded at the time of the AGM each year.  Please see Life Membership page for the nomination documentation.
